This is number 826. Each Tienqa shell was handpicked from the shore, washed, dried, and carefully marked with the pattern. Every one was numbered, turning a single fragment into part of a larger whole.

Shells are objects we collect without reason, yet we hold on to them as if they are treasures. Here, that instinct is given form, as each numbered shell becomes both a memory and a connection to something greater.
